Roni Sasaki was born with only one leg. As a child, she dreamed of competing in the Olympics, but felt as if she were the least likely person to become an athlete. She learned to ski when she was 17 and entered her first race when she was 19. Roni went on to win a Gold medal and 2 bronze medals in the 1992 Paralympics, racing on one ski.
Roni has been inspiring audiences to dream for the past 35 years. She offers candid and honest insight into living with a disability and struggling with self-acceptance. Her message of overcoming adversity to achieve a goal appeals to audiences of all ages.
In the business world, Roni is known as "Mrs. Clean." She started her company, EnviroMet in 1995. As an industrial supplier of spill clean-up and pollution prevention protects, Roni is a respected leader in the industry, helping companies, "clean up their messes."
